Lancaster County Sunset mug
The sunsets here in Lancaster County can be breathtaking. Especially when you are walking or driving near a surrounding farm at the time.
I tried to capture this sunset in this one of a kind mug. Thrown on a kick wheel, painted, carved and then set to dry. After the first firing, called a bisque, the carved area was painted over with black and then wiped off to make a shadow effect of this farm. The inside was glazed and well as a transparent glaze on the outside. Fired again, to approx. 2200 degrees.

Food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. I always recommend hand washing and limited microwave use to protect the surface and longevity of handmade items.
